Time for a change
Almost a year has passed.
Lately all you saw when you visited the site was a note that I’m working on something. Well, as you may know, I’m always working on something. Sometimes I can put more time into it, sometimes less. But there is always something going on in the creative part of my mind.
I had some time on my hands recently. Some of that time went into the site you see in front of you now. (Most time went into other projects, though.)
A lot will probably seem familiar, but slightly different.
I rewrote the page, changed the style of it a bit, cut away some chunks here and there. The code is much cleaner now, it’s based on CSS3 and HTML5 and is less of a pain to maintain.
What else is new? I have completed my apprenticeship in late February. So I’m now officially a “Fachinformatiker für Anwendungsentwicklung”. A whatthefuck?! That’s German for what’s best translated as “IT specialist for application development”. 😉 Yup, I’m a software developer now. Though I’ve been doing that for years, I now have the paper to prove it. 😉
After two years of working as a web developer, writing database driven Ruby on Rails 2 applications, I’m looking for a new job in the Ruhrgebiet area. I moved away from Munich with my girlfriend and we just found a new home.
I’m also working on a little tool to help me organize my ideas for writing and game projects. It already proved to be useful and is a great excuse to look into Ruby on Rails 3.2 after I heard so much good about it. It’s really a great improvement over the 2 version in about every way. 🙂
